In 1905 electric power was added to The Country Boy, a huge zinc vein was struck in 1906, and the mine shipped regularly in 1912-13 when most summit mines had shut down. The mine worked well into the World War II era and is open today for families to experience it's history and life. A guided tour will take you through 1000 ft of origonal workings.
