Loveland Pass
At 11,992 feet one may say you are on top of the world. Or so it seems at the top of Loveland pass that crosses the Continental Divide. Located just 55 miles of West Denver, Loveland Pass is a favorite place to admire the views and still see snow when all the ski areas are closed. Skiers and snowboarders ride the area and shuttle or hitchhike back up to the top. During the full moon, locals hike the pass and ride down with only the light of the moon. Hiking is a popular activity in the summer time with the high alpine mountain grandeur. Coming from Keystone, park in the marked area on your right, walk across the road and begin your hike by climbing the steps on the left.
