Planning your Breckenridge Vacation Planning your Trip to BreckenridgeTo make sure your trip goes as smooth as possible, here are some tips to remember: 1. Time of Year – Every season in Breckenridge is beautiful, but each has different activities that you can participate in. If you are planning a ski vacation one of the best times to visit is March, however the rates on lodging are usually higher. Be sure to make reservations early for this time because hotels and rentals can book up fast. If you are looking for a great value, October to mid-December is the time when really great deals can be found. The snow conditions do vary so be aware that they could be great or quite slim. Summertime is an time to come to the mountains. June through September you can get a good price for lodging and there are so many activities that you can do while you are here. Plus, the crowds are much smaller. 2. Dining – If you come to Breckenridge during the peak season, make sure to have a reservation. The best time to get great deals on dining is during the “off-season”. Many of the restaurants offer 2 for 1 dinner specials. This usually happens in May and again in October. However, these months are very unpredictable. It could be beautiful sunny and warm or it could be windy, cold and snowing. 3. Transportation – Leave your car and either walk or take the free ride to get where you want to go. Parking in Breckenridge can be difficult, especially when many visitors are in town. The free ride runs every 20min and can take you almost anywhere you need to go in Breckenridge. Additionally, the Summit Stage can take you to other places in Summit County. 4. Have Fun – Remember that even if the weather is not to your liking, there are so many fun activities you can do so that everyone is happy. Make sure not to worry! Stop for a minute and remember you are on vacation and this is a time to relax and make the most of it! |
