Quandary Peak While visiting the high country, one of the favorite 14+ foot mountain to climb is Mt. Quandary. Located south of Breckenridge, about 8 miles turn off Hwy 9 onto Blue Lakes Road (#850). Turn right onto McCullough Gulch Road (#851) and travel on this forest road one mile. Parallel park on the right side of the road by a white arrow. Follow the marked trail to the point of ridge that the trail intersects with another trail. Turn left and continue on the ridge to the Summit. Remember to bring ample water, food, and additional clothing. One of the easier 14ers, I have seen some younger children climb this one.
