Wedding at Sapphire Point A spectacular spot to have a wedding in Summit County is at Sapphire Point on Swan mountain road between Breckenridge and Keystone. The area over looks all of Lake Dillon and the Ten Mile Mountain range. The beautiful natural surroundings and wildlife that love to frolic in the area make for an extraordinary mountain wedding backdrop. In order to have a wedding at Sapphire Point you must first obtain a permit from the National Forest Service Dillon District. Below are the stipulations that one must follow in order to have a wedding ceremony there.1. The permit is not exclusive and the trail must remain open to the public 2. The overlook can accommodate maximum 35 people 3. There are only 22 parking spots at Sapphire Point entrance 4. Stakes and poles may not be placed in the ground but can be placed in a coffee can filled with sand 5. You may bring potable chairs for the guest to sit on 6. All items brought to the site must be removed when the your time slot is ended 7. Be aware that many items are prohibited to be thrown after the ceremony 8. The allotted time frame is 2 hours and costs $110 dollars 9. The permit takes 4-6 weeks to obtain 10.
