Webster Pass / Radical Hill Webster Pass / Radical Hill – Both Webster Pass and Radical Hill offer incredible views and some technical 4WD driving through Pike National Forest. The trail travels from the valley near Montezuma up and over the top of the world to Grant on Hwy 285. Across the valley from Webster Pass, Radical Hill presents tricky rocks and steep, exposed hill climbs before cresting out atop Teller Mountain. The trail is rated moderate but use caution for there are some big rocks. Webster Pass is usually closed until August due to the trails being congested with snow. Directions: From Denver take 285 south and just past mile marker 207 (Grant) you will turn onto CR 60. Follow this road for about 4 miles until you come to a large intersection. 120B takes you to Hall campground and Gibson Lake and the other 121 will take you to Webster Pass and Red Cone Pass. From Summit County, take Montezuma Road up to the town of Montezuma. Continue through town and turn left onto a rocky jeep road at the sign for Deer Creek / Webster Pass. Pass through a gate at 1.7 miles and climb into a beautiful high alpine valley surrounded by towering peaks. Cross the Snake River and climb over rough terrain to a junction at 3.6miles. The right fork climbs to Teller Mountain. Turn left and begin the final, moderate climb to Webster Pass.
