Zinger Cycling Challenge Zinger Cycling Challenge This grueling 138-mile route travels from Boulder to Breckenridge over seven major mountain climbs and crossing the Divide all in one day. The total vertical gain is nearly 14,000 feet over both paved and dirt roads. This epic race encounters harsh brutal winds, steep off camber descents, and potentially extreme mountain weather conditions. The race begins in front of the Hotel Boulderado in the heart of Boulder. From there the participants head south to Coal Creek Canyon, to the town of Wondervu, descending down to Black Hawk and over to Central City and up to the top of Oh My God road to Idaho Springs. The next section goes through Georgetown up Guanella Pass to Kenosha Pass and then Red Hill Pass. This section takes you through South Park where the racers hit winds of sometime 30 miles an hour and finally up and over Hoosier pass to Breckenridge.
