Eagle RiverEagle The Eagle is a excellent river for boaters, rafts, kayaks, fishing, sightseeing, or those just taking a dip. One of my favorite sections is from Edwards to Eagle. The stretch of river is about 17 miles, but easily done in one day. The shuttle is easy since it borders I-70. This river floats by some beautiful homes nestled away west of Edwards. The fun aspect of this river is that there are many play spots and tons of whitewater to keep you smiling the whole ride down. Another section that is a solid Class III, 7-mile run is right below Dowd Chute to Edwards. The last part of this run is the famous Edwards mile. An entire mile long class III run. Above this run is Dowd Chute. A quarter mile of fast tight whitewater. |
