Pump House to Rancho - Colorado Pump House to Rancho The ultimate beginner boaters run. However, at high water the rapids get much bigger and scarier for those who have not kayaked much. This section has a hot springs about halfway down the rapid. It has good wave trains, drops, and fun sections. One year at the first rapid, there was enough water to sneak through the cave on river left. It is an 11-mile run that can be ran in one day. Rafts are welcome on this run, as well as, persons fishing. If you are feeling over zealous continue on to State Bridge. Especially on the weekends, live music radiates from the bar at the take-out. Get your dancing shoes out and have some fun!
